Wow! What a roller coaster ride that one was. Really amazing last two fights, classics. The card was in desperate need too as we see from Dana White’s tweet right before the Struve-Hunt fight (@danawhite):
“Next to fights hopefully save the night. BRUTAL”
The “Holy &^%^” tweet count from Dana up until that point was 0. Needless to say, we heard a few during the next two fights.
Weigh-ins for ‘UFC on FUEL TV 8: Silva vs Stann’ took place today at the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan, which also hosts the event. All 22 fighters made weight except for Diego Sanchez who forfeited 20 percent of his fight purse for missing weight.

Participants included UFCÂ Executive Vice President & Managing Director, UFC Asia Mark Fischer and fighters Wanderlei Silva, Brian Stann, Stefan Struve, Mark Hunt, Takanori Gomi, Diego Sanchez, Yushin Okami, and Hector Lombard.

The UFC announced today that a middleweight fight between Wanderlei Silva (34-12-1-1) and Brian Stann (12-5) will serve as the headliner for the upcoming ‘UFC on FUEL TV 8′ event taking place in Saitama, Japan on March 2, 2013. In addition, seven other fights were announced to be part of the card.

Dan "The Outlaw" Hardy
A very lively crowd in Nottingham for this one and they definitely got their money’s worth. Overall, there were 5 knockouts and 2 submissions so it’s pretty likely the fans went home happy. Not all of the Brits won however as Paul Sass was upset by Matt Wiman, and Tom Watson and Jason Young also lost. Fans went nuts though over the Brad Pickett and Dan Hardy victories, especially the Pickett uppercut KO. Brilliant night of fights.
