Dana White just confirmed via Twitter that Jon Jones will be taking on Dan Henderson for the UFC Light Heavyweight Title at UFC 151 in Las Vegas on September 1st.

Yes, he meant “Jon”. This should be another great title match, although it’s hard to see Henderson giving Jones much of a fight. Henderson does have lethal KO power though so you never know.
Being in Vegas Henderson only has to cycle his testosterone down to 6x normal. Even with that advantage I don’t think he can pull off the win.
50x won’t help Henderson here and I think he knows it, but he’ll get a nice payout from this for the time he does remain standing.
Hendos only route to victory, is finding a home for that huge overhand right. No way this fight lasts long enough for him to land it. Horrible matchup
Could be interesting. In his 8 losses 5 have been by decision and 3 sub, with the last being 2008 to Anderson Silva. I think he has the smarts to take this to a decision (that he will lose), but I doubt he has the gas to go 5 with Jones. Jones could be finishing him for the first time in 4 years – and would be wonderful to give Dan his first loss via TKO.
Henderson has proved he as the cardio (however he got it). He also has the chin, but this will probably be similar to what Jones did to Rua. Gonna ugly him up from the outside. People will still bet on Henderson though as there are a bunch of Hendo loyal followers. Plus, he can possibly land one.
Jones is just too quick and too strong, and now he has good experience. It should be a massacre.
