UFC 158: St-Pierre vs Diaz
Overview
Rick “The Horror” Story would probably like to forget his last outing. He was not only submitted in the first round by Demian Maia, but it was one of the most painful submissions I’ve ever had to watch. Maia sunk in the rear-naked, but it was more of a neck crank and with each crank you could see the blood stream out of Story’s mouth. That was the only time Story has ever been submitted, so I’m thinking it was extremely painful. Story has now lost his last three of four so he could really use a win here to get back into the welterweight contender picture.
Keys to Story’s Victory:
• Learn from the Maia loss and keep the fight standing at all costs
• Takedown defense striking via uppercuts and knees

USA Today: Summer UFC title fight set for Pettis, Aldo
Posted on February 5, 2013 - (2) comments

Anthony "Showtime" Pettis
People are really throwing around the word “superfight” lately. I just hope the debates don’t get too bloody over which fight is or isn’t a superfight, much like they did over which models are supermodels and which ones are just ordinary models.
As for this fight, I don’t think anyone will argue that this is anything but a superfight. Anthony Pettis is my favorite fighter, plain and simple, and when it came to light during the UFC 156 post-event press conference that Anthony Pettis sent Dana White a text message saying that he wanted to drop down to featherweight and fight Jose Aldo, I got chills down my spine over the possibilities of the match-up actually happening.

UFC 156: Aldo vs Edgar – Bonuses and Results

Antonio "Big Foot" Silva demonstrates for us why he is nicknamed as such
The UFC stacks the Superbowl card every year, and this year it was no different. Ten of the fighters on the card tonight have either been a champion, fought for a title, or have been ranked #1.
The headliner was another Frankie classic. Jose Aldo was brilliant to watch for the first two rounds, but then he faded and Frankie got stronger. It was close at the end, but Aldo did win that fight and it’s great to see him back. Joe Rogan asked post-fight if he was considering a move up to lightweight due to the extreme pain it is for him to cut weight. He said it’s tough, but he’s staying right where he is. Can’t blame him. As for Frankie, he is going to take some time to heal and think about what’s next.

UFC on FUEL TV 9: Gustafsson vs. Mousasi
Overview
It’s a battle for Swedish welterweight supremacy as Papy Abedi takes on Besam Yousef at UFC on FUEL TV 9 in Stockholm, Sweden April 6.
Papy Abedi is probably the most delighted fighter in the world over the UFC’s return to Sweden. He once again gets a chance to record his first victory for the promotion. Abedi’s previous two attempts, both ended in first round rear-naked choke submission losses. First loss was to Thiago Alves at UFC 138 in Birmingham, England, and the second to James Head at UFC on FUEL TV 2 last year in Stockholm. Prior to those two fights, Abedi was 8-0 on the European circuit with seven of those wins coming by way of knockout or submission.
Keys to Papy’s Victory:
• Keep the fight standing at all costs, take-down defense
• Knees and uppercuts when Yousef shoots
• Don’t get submitted in the first round
