Mir, a present danger? Does Frank have what it takes to hang with Cormier?
The last time Frank Mir was in the Octagon, it was to fight Junior dos Santos for the heavyweight title. Hard to believe right? It’s hard to believe because it seems like everyone is always looking to write the epitaph of Mir’s career. But is that fair? With the most wins in the history of the heavyweight division (14), Mir is most likely a hall of famer.
TUF 17 Episode 12 Review
The series finale is finally here and the two semifinal fights are aired to determine which two fighters will be battling it out at the finale on April 13, 2013.
First though, it’s become tradition that the four semifinalists make a trip to the local Harley Davidson dealer to give them a taste of what’s in store for the winner. Besides the lucrative 6-figure deal with the UFC, the winner and the winning coach each receive a fully customized Harley. Dana tags along and each of them get to sit on the different models and try out the customizations for them, if they were to win of course. With the big tease out of the way, it’s on to the fights.
TUF 17 Episode 11 Review
No Ronda or Mike Tyson this week, but we do get two more great fights. The final two quarterfinal matches were aired:
• Joshua Samman (9-2), 24, Tallahassee, Fla. vs. Jimmy Quinlan (3-0), 26, Metheun, Mass.
• Uriah Hall (7-2), 28, New York City (by way of Jamaica) vs. Robert “Bubba” McDaniel (20-6), 29, Albuquerque, N.M.
TUF 17 Episode 10 Review
Two brilliant fights, Ronda Rousey, and Mike Tyson. This week’s episode was the most engaging and action-packed of the season. Not a second spent on any of the usual TUF filler as we jump right into the action.
