I’m a huge Carlos Condit fan and I can’t wait to see him finally shine as a UFC star. This should be a very memorable Main Event on a pretty stacked card. Big Country and Bruce Leeroy in da house as well. Looking forward to it. Here are my picks:
Nick Diaz vs Carlos Condit (Interim Welterweight Title)
Pick: Carlos Condit by KO in Round 1
Thoughts: Diaz can take a punch but Condit’s too strong so Diaz to fall in the 1st.
Pick: Roy Nelson by KO in Round 2
Thoughts: Nelson is too much for Werdum. Too heavy, can defend against the BJJ, and can probably take a punch better than anyone in the UFC.
Pick: Josh Koscheck by Decision in Round 3
Thoughts: Look for Kos to bounce back but he will have a tough time against Pierce.
Renan Barao vs Scott Jorgensen
Pick: Renan Barao by Decision in Round 3
Thoughts: This should be an all out war. Barao with the slight edge via a decision.
Pick: Ed Herman by Submission in Round 2
Thoughts: Starks is a monster and a good wrestler but I think Herman will pull out a Sub.
Alex Caceres vs Edwin Figueroa
Pick: Alex Caceres by KO in Round 1
Thoughts: Bruce Leeroy will have a brilliant KO finish.
Pick: Matt Brown by Submission in Round 2
Thoughts: Mike Brown just has too much experience. Look for the Sub in the 2nd.
