UFC 146: dos Santos vs Mir Preview
Posted on May 22, 2012
The Octagon’s gonna be a rockin’ this weekend in Vegas as ten of the top MMA Heavyweights in the business square off at UFC 146: dos Santos vs Mir. With their combined weight of approximately 2505 pounds (1138kg), the floor and cage walls of the Octagon will be tested like never before.
In addition to the five main card Heavyweight bouts there are seven other decent matchups that should also keep you entertained. Definitely worth the price of admission, if you can drag yourself away from the poker tables that is.
Here are my picks for the CageWall featured fights:

Rampage Jackson wins WLGY Award! by Dog Licker
Posted on May 9, 2012
This past week I saw an amazing video of Josh Koscheck on UFC Ultimate Insider. To cut a long story short viewing this video has resulted in Rampage Jackson winning the official Cagewall WLGY Award. For details on how this happened, read on.
In case you missed it you can catch the video here, although if you aren’t in the US you’ll need to use a US proxy to see it. A couple of things stunned me in the video – firstly Josh has his pilot’s licence and routinely flies between Fresno (where he lives) and LA. Wow. The guy comes across as pretty obnoxious but really must have some smarts and discipline to have achieved his pilot’s licence. Secondly, the guy is seriously wealthy. During the 5 minute video I counted the following assets (estimate of value added): Read more →
UFC on FOX 3: Diaz vs Miller Review by HeLLBoY
Posted on May 7, 2012
Sorry for posting this so late. Had a wedding reception to attend last night and got in a right mess. Took a taxi home and fired up the laptop. Pardon me for my foggy ramblings but those wankers at ESPN UK weren’t showing the event live. I had to resort to watching the event on delay. I haven’t slept yet but here we go.
Nate Diaz vs Jim Miler – Diaz kept the distance and taught Miller a lesson. Not much else to say really. Nate threw a tonne of punches and seemed to break Jim’s will. As much as I think the Diaz brothers are asses, they keep delivering the goods, and are very very very good fighters. Miller is no joke but Nate made him the punchline. I was/am keen to see Diaz vs Pettis but Uncle Dana announced that Diaz gets a title shot next. I can actually see Diaz working Henderson. That makes me sad. Miller has the worlds best walk out music.

UFC On FOX 3, Palhares vs Belcher – Another Undercard Spotlight By CryTuff
Posted on May 4, 2012
Deep, deep in that big old greedy heart that pumps Ferrari oil through Dana White’s platinum plated veins there is a teensy little voice of regret that Silva – Sonnen II is even going happen. What could be better than Spider defending his belt, in Brazil, against an inland Oregon loudmouth who has not just insulted some of the proudest people in the world, but continues to go out of his way to mock Brazilians as much as he can now? Here’s what could be better. Silva, the most precise and deadly striker in the history of the UFC, walking out to fight his countryman Rousimar Palhares, a leg submission artist so feral I suspect now and then he accidentally breaks someones ankle waiting in line to pay for his groceries.

“Dirty” Dan Henderson by Dog Licker
Posted on May 3, 2012
My usual morning routine involves coffee and reading the latest articles on MMA websites, including MMAJunkie. This morning when I fired up the browser I involuntarily snorted up some hot coffee as I read the headline “Is Jon Jones fighting the greatest fighter of all-time in Dan Henderson?”
As I cleaned up the coffee I got to wondering why I have such an aggressive reaction every time I read something praising Dan Henderson, and whether it is justified. This article is the result of that contemplation.
